Guess Where We Are?

Just to let everyone know that we made it at last and in one piece...BARELY...lol. Such a loooong journey. Im very very tired so will update just as soon as I have some rest and get the feeling back in my legs.
Thank you so much to every single person that made this journey possible. Without your support a dream would still be just a dream.

Hi to all, I did an update post at Tara's blog "Future Husbands and Wives of Saudis" about Ramadan miracles and Eid Al-Fitr gratitude, and tried to include everyone who did a post or put the word out in other ways. Let me know if I left you off accidentally and I will amend the post:

Eid Al-Fitr and Thanksgiving: "Do you believe in miracles?"

Thanks!

Hey Red,

Sounds like you are taking care of business. I hope there won't be too much trauma for the kids starting at a new school in their new world.

I trust you chose Wyoming because you have family there so hopefully you are getting the support you need. I know you are no stranger to culture shock so at least you know some of what to expect.

Keep in touch and let us know how it's going. Betty

Hey Red,

I've been thinking about trying my hand at painting too. I even bought some oils and a couple of small canvases but haven't actually begun. Is painting something you used to do regularly?

How are the kids doing? I hope they aren't going to feel too out of place in this new life. I don't suppose there is a very big international community in Wyoming but I could be wrong. It's been quite a few years since I was there.

Wishing you the best.

Betty

Write a book about the whole experience! From beginning to end. The marriage, the children, life in the Kingdom, the divorce, afterwards, & finally this escape & something about re-entry into life in America after so many years & the profound changes in yourself that must have occurred after so many years abroad.

ma shaa Allah, mubrooK!

This is all very touching, and the help you received reminds me of when I first converted to Islam and the way people pulled together to get me on my feet. I will always be grateful for that.

May Allah make it easy for you always
